Introduction – Alfredo Banchi, Triple B General Construction

Hello, my name is Alfredo Banchi, and I’d like to introduce myself and my company, Triple B General Construction.

My story is a little different from most. I started working and getting involved in construction at a young age. I don’t remember everything from those early days, but I do remember that by the age of ten, I was already working as a helper — my father’s helper.

I worked with him for a couple of years, and then I came to the United States. I started working here when I was about thirteen.

Finding My Passion for Stonework

Working with stone is something that has always come naturally to me — a true instinct.
I remember when I was about fourteen or fifteen, still just a helper in the company I worked for. One day, a shipment of limestone arrived at a jobsite. The project manager asked who could install it, but no one volunteered — everyone there specialized in brick or natural stone like fieldstone, and no one had worked with architectural limestone before.

So, I said I could do it. Some people laughed, others were surprised, but I went ahead and did the installation. It took me a while since it was my first time, but I got it done — and done right.

From that moment on, I dedicated myself to improving my methods and techniques. At first, I used wires and brick ties; later I learned to use brackets and screws. I kept learning, experimenting, and getting better every year.

Building Experience

I stayed with that same company for about 23 or 24 years. During that time, we did a bit of everything — framing, concrete work, machinery operation, grading land — you name it.
That experience gave me a deep and broad understanding of many areas of construction. Without realizing it, I was preparing myself for what I do today.

Starting My Own Business

About four or five years ago, I decided to take a leap of faith and start my own business.

That first year was tough — very tough. I had plenty of hands-on experience but not much knowledge about estimating materials, labor, or pricing jobs. But I was determined to learn, and I did.

Today, it’s no longer just me — I have a team. Some of them are former coworkers who believed in me from day one. I’m proud of my team: we’re more than just coworkers — we’re a family.

We’ve learned to work together seamlessly, and every day I continue learning, striving to do my best, and encouraging my team to do the same.

What Drives Us

At this point, it’s not just about making a living. It’s about passion, pride, and doing things right.

We’re not afraid of challenges and will travel anywhere our work takes us. Over the years, we’ve gained new experience, learned new methods, and developed our own “tricks of the trade.”

Many companies now call me “the limestone magician” because of the beauty and efficiency of our work. It might look like magic — but it’s really just hard work, dedication, and thinking carefully about how to do every job the right way.

What We Do Today

When I first started Triple B General Construction, I included “General Construction” in the name because I thought I’d need to take on a variety of projects. But today, about 95% of what we do is limestone installation, with a few general construction projects throughout the year.

We specialize in all types of limestone installations — including Indiana limestone, Alabama limestone, Lueders limestone, Texas limestone, and imported materials from Italy and Mexico.

We install a wide range of stone architectural elements: kitchen hoods, fireplaces, columns, window and door surrounds, flooring (both interior and exterior), and more.

We have the experience and skill to handle virtually any kind of stonework project, whether limestone, marble, granite, or quartzite, and whether interior or exterior.

Closing

So that’s my story. I may not be the best storyteller, but what I am good at is giving my absolute best — and not just me, but my entire team.

We look forward to being part of many custom stone projects in the future.
